Who uses InProofreading?

In cases where different quotes are possible InProofreading will ask the user for advice. So, 'bout (for about) will not end up as ‘bout [must be ’bout], 'oman (for woman) will not become ‘oman [must be ’oman].

InProofreading does not trust word-processors “smart quotes” feature. By default the program will do its own proofreading for quotes and will help to get rid from common mishaps like ‘twas, ‘70s, etc.

In case a hyphen is used incorrectly, InProofreading will ask the user to interfere. So, a hyphen used instead of dash in “But how- ” she began. will not stay unnoticed. [Must be “But how—” she began.]

Even experienced writers may mix em and en dashes, both spaced and unspaced, in one text. InProofreading will ensure consistency of dashes usage automatically.

InProofreading 1200, a new version of the popular publishing add-in for Microsoft Office Word, has been released.

InProofreading 1200 is remarkable for its much greater usability. Now the add-in automatically integrates into Word during installation, and the user will be able to launch InProofreading for any document open in Word.

In case Word security policies are too tough on add-ins, a new utility, InProofreading IM (Installation Monitor), will help the user change the policies to make InProofreading button available on the Word toolbar. The utility also enables using InProofreading under different user accounts and/or different Word versions simultaneously used on one computer.
